Dr. Doris
Kurtz, Superintendent
Consolidated School District of New Britain

The New Britain Adult
Literacy Center is dedicated to providing opportunities for life long learning. All programs are open to all residents of New Britain.
Programs providing basic education are free of charge, while enrichment programs are provided by charging reasonable fees. The fees are reviewed regularly to ensure adequacy for, and accessibility to our programs.
Mandated programs are those required by the state. They include American Citizenship, Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Education Development (GED or a state high school diploma), English as a Second Language (ESL), and the Adult Credit Diploma Program. All mandated programs are offered free of charge at various sites during the day, as well as in the evening.
The New Britain
Adult Literacy Center encourage all adults to explore new academic, vocational, cultural and recreational classes in the pursuit of lifelong learning.
The Adult Literacy Center welcomes you and wishes you a successful, enjoyable learning experience. Our director and staff are committed to providing high quality instruction as we help you meet the demands of a new age. |
